During the PI evening session of the CHAINS conference on 6 December the winner was announced.

Jury evaluation
As the jury stated, the proposal addresses a timely and relevant topic in chemistry in support of renewable economy. The organizers are young PI's and all have a strong background in the different areas of the topic. The jury praised the good definition of the interdisciplinarity and balanced connection to Dutch science.
We congratulate the winner and we look forward to organize this high quality workshop with them in 2022.
