Watch your language: Language Technology and Words in Society

The focus of this five-day scientific retreat is on narratives and perspectives in the journalistic reporting of violent events (specifically: femicides and traffic crashes). Journalists, language technology experts, linguistics, NGO representatives, and social scientists will get together with the core aim of developing a language technology tool for both writers and readers to support an informed and responsible reporting and understanding of such news.
