The Bewildering Nature of Ultra-diffuse Galaxies

The detection of massive numbers of ultra-diffuse galaxies is arguably one of the major discoveries made in extragalactic physics over the past few years. Their nature remains a puzzle and it is unclear how they fit within the theoretical framework of galaxy formation. The workshop aims to provide the right forum to discuss the many facets of this galaxy population.
