Moisture tracking intercomparison: time to address the uncertainty

In this workshop we aim to assemble the diverse moisture tracking community to address and quantify uncertainty associated with moisture tracking models. Moisture tracking models follow the precipitated moisture in the atmosphere back in time to find out where precipitation was evaporated. The goal of the workshop is to compare the source regions of precipitation from multiple models for a diverse set of hydrometeorological cases that are selected beforehand. Such a coordinated model intercomparison facilitates the explanation and quantification of uncertainty, acting as a point of reference for future work and literature on moisture tracking.
