This short symposium is devoted to some recent developments in complex algebraic geometry. Complex algebraic geometry is a field where rather different techniques coming on the one hand from algebra and algebraic geometry and on the other hand from complex analysis play a role. This interaction often leads to interesting and unexpected developments and gives the field its own dynamic. Some of the topics the symposium focuses on are moduli spaces, algebraic curves and surfaces, and vector bundles. We will also look back and evaluate the developments since the symposium 'Geometry in Autumn I' held about ten years ago.
