Life Sciences with Industry Workshop 2024

Since 2013, NWO has been organizing the Life Sciences with Industry workshop together with the Lorentz Center. In this workshop, 25 young scientists (PhD/Postdoc) and (junior) researchers from both academia and industry work closely together during a week to find original solutions to three challenging industrial problems. The workshop is intended to encourage cooperation and exchange of knowledge between academia and industry.

This year’s cases are the following:

• PathoFinder: a fast and safe method for nucleic acid extraction
• Getinge: improving sustainability in the development of single-use bioreactors
• Yaghma: assessing and providing guidelines for AI in healthcare decision-making
