Iron in the Fire 2022

This second Lorentz Workshop dedicated to the iron in the brain will focus on the interplay between iron and the brain immune system in disease. Topics that will be discussed are: current knowledge about iron biology and its role in neuroinflammation in neurological and neurodegenerative diseases, methods for measuring and mapping neuroinflammation and iron distribution and evidence of links between the two, therapeutic approaches that target iron and/or neuroinflammation and the role of imaging of iron and neuroinflammation in a clinical context.
