Description & Aim
Symplectic and contact topology have been very successfully applied to central questions in dynamical systems, and conversely the problems from dynamics greatly influenced the development of these fields.
In this workshop we plan to focus on some high potential, exciting new applications of symplectic and contact geometry to dynamics.
Reeb dynamics encompasses many systems, naturally arising in a broad variety of settings ranging from contact and low-dimensional topology to Hamiltonian dynamics to differential geometry.
Our overall focus is on further advancing the methods for establishing existence of and, in some sense, counting periodic orbits of such systems.
