The study of group actions on zero-dimensional spaces is a vast subject that involves different areas of mathematics, such as Dynamical Systems, Group Theory, Number Theory. Such actions naturally occur in attractors of dynamical systems, exceptional minimal sets of foliations associated to systems of PDEs, tiling spaces, arboreal representations of Galois groups of number fields, and in other settings.
Our workshop will bring together experts from different fields of Mathematics, whose research interests intersect in the area of group actions on Cantor set, with the goal of promoting knowledge exchange and interdisciplinary collaborations.
