Bringing together a diverse group of people means bringing together different perspectives, opinions and motivations. It enhances creativity, which leads to more diverse ideas and better problem solving and decision-making. The Lorentz Center already promotes this by organizing interactive workshops. In a broader perspective we stimulate diversity in gender, (dis)ability, geographical background, ethnicity and socioeconomic status.
The Lorentz Center strives to increase diversity among the workshop participants and to create an inclusive environment also to provide optimal innovation, ideas and societal impact. To support and stimulate diversity and inclusivity we have created a diversity fund.
Who can apply?
The diversity fund is available to all researchers who will attend one of the Lorentz Center workshops.

Applications may be submitted by all researchers, funding is at the discretion of the Lorentz Center. You are eligible if your situation meets one of the following criteria (or any other situation that requires financial support):
• Childcare
• Extra care in case of an impairment
• Financial support for underrepresented groups (e.g. geographical location, socioeconomic status)
