    Chemistry winner 2019-2020

The Lorentz Center invited researchers to apply for the Chemistry workshop competition 2019-2020. The winning workshop will be supported by and organized at the Lorentz Center, Leiden, the Netherlands.

We are happy to announce that we have selected a winner of the competition.

The winning proposal is:

'Bio°Inorganic Chemistry'
by

Johannes Klein (University of Groningen), Daniël Broere (Utrecht University) and Vera Krewald (Technical University of Darmstadt)

This proposal was very well received by the evaluation committee:
'The topic of small molecule activation is highly relevant and the participants are a mix of experimentalists and theoreticians and researchers from different disciplines. They pay attention to various aspects, including gender balance.'

The winners were celebrated at the CHAINS conference on 9 December 2019 in Veldhoven. We are pleased to host this high quality and interesting workshop next year.

The workshop will be held from 3 - 7 August 2020, at the venue Lorentz Center@Snellius in Leiden, The Netherlands.
