30 Years of Cosmic Strings

9 September 2006

Venue: Lorentz Center@Oort

If you are invited or already registered for this workshop, you have received login details by email.

This summer we commemorate 30 years since the publication of T.W.B. Kibble's groundbreaking paper on the formation of Cosmic Defects by what has become known as the Kibble mechanism. In 2007 Tom Kibble will hold the prestigious Lorentz Chair in Leiden. The Lorentz Center workshop "Laboratoy Cosmology - COSLAB 2006" gives us a unique opportunity to celebrate both events and review the current status of Cosmic Strings and Superstrings with some of Kibble's friends and collaborators. A simple lunch will be offered free of charge to those who register before Sept. 5th.
